Basement bathroom - macerating toilet?

Has anyone used a macerating toilet in a basement bathroom - and can you share your experience? Especially interested if you have tied in a shower and sink with it. Reading online indicates this is all possible - and would be a more cost-effective approach than breaking through the concrete slab to put in an ejector pump. Local builders do not seem to be too famliar with it - and it does seem like the type of thing that if something goes wrong, it could go really wrong.


Would appreciate any thoughts, advice, input, and especially lived experience.
