In the beginning, on the PC side, a technology called Local area network (LAN) was used to connect signals between them. This gave rise to the concept of Multiplayer or playing several games at the same time in a single game. The protagonist of this system is Counter Strike, Command & Conquer and StarCraft until later the internet system came in. resulting in a new genre of games known as “online games”
